You wear the number one at Challenge Copenhagen. How are your chances in the race?
My chances? For winning? Not so good but for getting around top 5-10 I would say my chances are solid. I am in great shape, racing in my city and have better fitness than before. But who knows..that is what the racing is for :)

I am racing with race number 1 for the race because I won a contest among the pros in the startfield. I have made a project called whoisnumberone (www.whoisnumberone.dk) to promote awareness for cancer. Like I mentioned, I am very typicial and my awareness of cancer used to be quite low. There for I wanted to use the extra attention for Challenge Copenhagen to promote something much more important than triathlon and ironman results.

What about the jelly fish? Can you give the German triathletes some tips for the swim?
Yes there can be a few of those..dont’ worry about them..compared to the pain you feel in the last 10 km of the run they are nothing. A good thing is to have some creme/ gel on the bike that can numb the sting if it’s really bad..but really don’t stress about them. A good tip is to wear a big swim mask – but not the ones for scubadiving :)

Can you tell us something about you as a person? Where you from and what is your best discipline?
In most ways I think I am a typicial triathlete. I got into the sport to loose weight and have fun. The lifestyle is what facinates me. I like the training, travelling and socializing. I am very happy to be able to do triathlon and keep healthy this way. I also love racing but compared to the joy I get in my everyday life from the sport, racing is not that important.

What about your equipment for the bike course? Disc wheel or not disc.
Bike course is not dead flat..do yourself a favor and ride it in car when you get here..Can be windy but of course always wear a disk. This is Denmark and we have no mountains :) But you the bike course it beautiful so for extra equipment I would recomend a camera and money for an ice creame in Mikkelborg (famous ice creames in Denmark) if you bonk on the second lap :)
